Unlike other MK5 GTI 2.0T exhausts that can choke peak power and limit breathing due to their 2.5"/2.75" construction, the 3" design of the CTS Turbo MK5 GTI turbo-back exhaust allows for exhaust gases to the turbo and wastegate with less turbulence, resulting in more power and torque throughout the entire powerband.
In addition to the turbo-back exhaust, the CTS Turbo MK5 GTI downpipe is also constructed using 3" T304 Seamless Stainless Steel and 100% tig welded for maximum durability. Lesser products on the market may use seamed stainless steel, which can crack and decay over time, or lack stainless steel construction altogether. The CTS Turbo MK5 GTI downpipe eliminates the factory downpipe, increasing turbo spool up and peak power.
